rain and very a cold 50 degrees.

it's cold today...by california standards at least. i was talking to a co-worker about how cold it was, and a few ladies from kansas city (who are visiting our office) were laughing at us because the high is 22 there. my, how a measly one year in california, can change the way your body reacts to the weather!!

also, happy 18 days until christmas!!! so great. and i'll be flying home in 16!! yay, can't wait.

so, it's official. we no longer live in the bug apartment. yes. and i put up my christmas tree on saturday night while drinking eggnog and listening to christmas music. it's definitely christmas time.

when it rains, it pours. believe me.

for those of you who don't know, i moved! but it wasn't exactly a joyous event. the night i was moving my stuff to our new apartment, i flipped on the lights and what was it that awaited my arrival? roaches. wow. so i've been working on getting out of the bug apartment for the past two weeks. and it has been quite stressful. finally the administration decided we needed to leave the bugs. thank you! i've been saying that all along.

in the mean time, thanksgiving happened and it was really great.

after thanksgiving was another story. let's just say, i locked myself out of my apartment, got a flat tire on the way to the airport, and took nasty fall while running and messed up my shoulder. it's time for it to stop pouring down rain.

but i will not be defeated!! ha!! it's finally the christmas season and my favorite time of year. i hope it brings joy, laughter and hope to everyone!

i've been checking my usual blogs thinking, 'wow, people haven't been updating lately' and realized that i haven't either!

this past week has been one of the most stressful weeks i've had in a very long time. pretty much dealing with moving and bugs and standing up for my rights as a tenant! i am very glad it is friday, but i feel like my bug issues in my current apt aren't going away anytime soon. time for new action to deal with this problem.

on a lighter note, 103.5 is playing christmas music already! and i drank a peppermint hot chocolate from a holiday cup this morning. contentment :)

Los Angeles, CA, October 30, 2009 – The 2^nd Annual MOSAIC LA FILM FEST (MOLAFF) is the follow- up to one of the most successful film festival debuts in Los Angeles.  The 2009 MOSAIC LA FILM FEST dares to go where no other film festival has gone – into an exploration of the human spirit to capture our deepest desires, to ask what moves us, what inspires us, and what shakes us with the theme of “Soul Cravings: An Exploration of the Human Spirit.”

The Mosaic LA Film Festival officially opens Saturday, November 14, 2009 with a red carpet like no other. It will be held in downtown Los Angeles at the Mayan Theater located at 1038 S. Hill St. 90015.  Doors open at 12:00pm with the first session starting at 12:30pm and the second session beginning at 4:00pm. 

Based off the themes from Erwin McManus’ book Soul Cravings, the films accepted into the festival are creative expressions of what the human soul craves – intimacy, destiny and meaning – from the established and emerging talented filmmakers from around the world.

This year’s film festival will include an interactive theatrical introduction, spoken word, art installations, guest speakers, directors meet & greet, Q&A, music entertainment, food, and so much more.

As with 2008, the 2009 Mosaic LA Film Fest gives filmmakers the opportunity to engage their art, beliefs, and purpose to create inspired, meaningful works.  Author and MOLAFF Judge, Erwin McManus said of last year’s festival, "The Mosaic LA Film Festival came as a welcomed surprise to those who attended. last week i had the priviledge of attending the beautiful wedding of zach ford and bobbie bagby (well now i should say bobbie bagby FORD!) yay for good friends and marriage :)

AND while in kansas city, i celebrated living in california for a whole entire year. yay! i can't believe how fast time has gone by. crazy, huh?
