i'm just trying to help you out.

while walking back from the bank yesterday evening, i found myself waiting for the light to change at ventura and laurel canyon. i first see a police car pull up in the far left lane. no big deal, that's pretty normal. then a girl pulls up in the far right lane, right into the crosswalk. she's not exactly paying much attention to me being a pedestrian and realizing that i will be crossing eventually. i see her rummage through her bag and pull out her blackberry. hmmmm. so me, trying to be a kind, compassionate person, i say to her through her open window "just so you know, there is a cop right there." the girl looks at me and starts giving me all this attitude..."i was just...." (i didn't really catch what she said). so i respond, "i was just trying to help you out!" just then, she gets a green arrow to turn right and wizzes away. i think to myself, man, what is it with people?

august is almost over?

is august really coming to a close already? wow. it seriously is amazing how fast time is rolling by. kathryn and i have almost lived here for an entire year. what?! crazy. it's also crazy how hot it is. holy cow, you step outside and feel like you are baking in an oven. i am very thankful for air conditioning these days.

in other news, george clooney now has his office in the same building where i work!!! so fun. now i just need to have a sighting. ha.

laurel canyon.

i love laurel canyon. so far my commute to and from work has been a breeze. hopefully this trend will continue! it's so great not having to drive through hollywood at rush hour :)

new job...

day 2.

so far so good. but i still get nervous when the phone rings...bah.

oh deer.

after enjoying a delicious bbq meal with my parents, i was sitting in the backyard chatting with my pops and what do we see? deer! not one, but FOUR. they just pranced right on through our backyard. ha! it was awesome. that's how you really know you're on the east coast.

ps. the crazy humidity here and a hair cut has made my hair insanely curly. ha.

blinking yellow.

i'm on the EAST COAST!!! it's so green here, and rainy!

so i was driving back to my parents house last night around 10:45pm. i came to a stop light and it was blinking yellow. it's been a while since i've seen one of those.
