oh deer.

after enjoying a delicious bbq meal with my parents, i was sitting in the backyard chatting with my pops and what do we see? deer! not one, but FOUR. they just pranced right on through our backyard. ha! it was awesome. that's how you really know you're on the east coast.

ps. the crazy humidity here and a hair cut has made my hair insanely curly. ha.

so i was driving back to my parents house last night around 10:45pm. i came to a stop light and it was blinking yellow. it's been a while since i've seen one of those.

life of a temp.

i'm currently sitting in the fairfax library, using the wireless internet to write this. and yes i do know that it is 2:50pm on a week day afternoon. this is one of the side effects of working for a temp agency... sometimes they don't have work for you!

so i sit here like the millions of other unemployed job seekers hoping that soon it will be my time to find a full time job. 

and with that, i must return to what seems to be an endless job search.

bahhhh.

you know what i hate? when people honk at you thinking you're going to do something stupid but really you know better than to continue to pull out as someone is driving by. i'm not an idiot people. this is the second time in the past week that other drivers have questioned my ability to make smart choices!

on a completely different note, why is it that more people compliment my hair when i don't wash it....hmmm.

i'm eating string cheese.

around 4:30p every day i eat my afternoon snack. today (like the rest of the week) it just happens to be stirng cheese. i really love it. i think it might be my favorite snack i've brought with me to work. but let's be honest here, i love cheese in general. i could eat it all day all the time. in the words of my roommate kathryn, yumo.

on my run this morning i saw 8 slugs/snails. i'm actually not sure what they are. they look slimy like slugs, but they have a shell like a snail. maybe they're just snails. ha.

also on my run, i went past a window with a massive dog sitting in it. and when it barked (very loudly) at me, i jumped and screamed. but it was kind of a wimpy scream. i'll have to demonstrate it sometime. ha.

now i have a question to propose to the blogging world...what songs should i add to my new work mix??
